Matthew was a diligent student that provided insight and fun to our daily classroom. I had the pleasure of teaching Matthew in a small, intimate setting. My English courses offered a comprehensive college preparatory curriculum, complete with AP classes. Matthew set high standards for his personal achievement and responsibility. Because the students trained and travelled for ski racing, the course content was rigorous and challenging. Matthew was able to strike a balance between academics, athletics, and time with friends and family.
